Robert Klijn has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He founded Fair Impact in 2010. As an ESG specialist he has a focus on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues. He is chairman of the committee responsible investing of the CFA Society VBA Netherlands.

From 2002 to late 2008 Robert was an ESG entrepreneur at ING Equity Markets. He initiated ESG brokerage and was in constant dialogue with the research department and institutional investors to create ESG products for them. Under his leadership, a network of listed companies was built that had discussions with institutional investors during ESG seminars and road shows.

Thereafter Robert became responsible for supplying information on ESG issues to boards of pension funds within the Client Portfolio Management team of APG.
